Alpe d'Huez

The ski resort of L'Alpe d'Huez, located at 1,860 meters height in the Grandes Rousses mountain range in the Oisans, is a well-known winter sports destination. The resort is a skier and snowboarder's dream, with plenty of sunshine, clean air, adequate snow coverage, and 240 kilometers of slopes. Another reason for its appeal is the 16-kilometer run (one of the world's longest), its wonderful sports facilities, its stores, and outstanding après-ski venues. In the summer, Alpe d'Huez is also a fitness resort, with sports such as mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata, horseback riding, fishing, and pool swimming etc.
